Growth idea action plan

Creator-led micro-influencer blitz

Pay 30–50 micro-creators to post about your product simultaneously on a pay-per-view (RPM) model instead of flat fees.

legendary tactic free budget TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube Stages: 10K+

Why this can grow a startup

You rent trust and distribution from creators instead of building your own audience from scratch. The RPM model aligns incentives — creators only earn when content performs. Even creators with zero followers work because algorithms reward content quality over follower count. You kill losers fast and scale winners, then turn organic winners into paid ads. Works for B2B too if you find the right angle.

Ian's take

From scaling consumer platforms across MENA and Southeast Asia, my default is to distrust growth work that only looks good in a slide. Founder-led distribution works when it is proof-led. I would not post theory for this. I would show what changed, what surprised me, what I would do again, and what an operator should try next. I would run it small enough to learn quickly, then only scale the parts that real users repeat, save, reply to, or buy from. For this tactic, I would watch 70M users before putting more time or budget behind it.

Action plan

  1. Define one narrow startup segment where creator-led micro-influencer blitz can create a measurable lift.
  2. Turn the tactic into one offer, page, campaign, or workflow for the TikTok and X/Twitter channel.
  3. Use the evidence from reddit.com to set the first version of the message, format, and audience.
  4. Launch a small test for 7 to 14 days with one success metric: 70M users.
  5. Review the result, keep the winning message, remove weak variants, and turn the learning into a repeatable growth playbook.

Cluely (1B views, 300+ creators, <$1 CPM), Gamma (70M users, $0 CAC with creator-led distribution), Tabs Chocolate (45 creators, scaled to exit).
