GrowthDex organizes reported growth examples into a searchable catalogue. It is a research index, not a controlled benchmark or a guarantee of repeatable results.
What each tactic records
Each entry connects a growth mechanism and operator framing to a named source, source URL, reported metric, channel labels, and contextual fields. In the current 2,042-tactic snapshot, 1,754 entries have the core description, source, and metric fields populated.
Open the source before relying on a claim. A source link is provenance, not an endorsement or independent verification by GrowthDex.
How to interpret metrics
Metrics are reproduced as reported context. They can differ in definition, period, attribution, population, and verification quality. They should not be compared as if they came from one standardized experiment.
How to interpret channels and budgets
Channel labels are assigned catalogue tags and can overlap: one tactic may appear in multiple channels. Budget values are source/catalogue tiers, not independently calculated spend estimates. Similar labels may reflect the original taxonomy rather than a normalized measurement system.
Source coverage is not source quality
Source-host counts describe how links are distributed across hosts in this snapshot. They do not measure editorial independence, source quality, or the strength of each individual claim.
Dates
“Source discovered” describes when GrowthDex recorded a source where that field is available. It is not presented as the original article publication date or as an editorial revision date.
